Twenty sixth day-18/7/12

I have completed all my work, even the report and documentary. I submitted my a big project; my hard work, learning, new experience of getting about the reality of life and increasing of knowledge, this whole journey of an year has made me learn a lot and this learning I can never forget because its about a person's life whether its positive or negative there will be a day when every human will realize the impact of Inflation and I hope my awareness save a person's life.   

Twenty fifth day-5/7/12

I met my supervisor and showed all the work which I had done during my summer holidays. I had almost completed my project. I gave all my write ups and surveys for checking and got a new task for completing for report. I was now given 1 and a half week time to complete my report where I had write on few more topics like "Reflection on Learning", "Bibliography" and "Appendices".

Twenty fourth day-29/6/12

The maids of house didn't really gave an effect on my analysis, the answers were almost the same. So my final analysis was ready and I had achieved my goal. With the interviews I had taken videos of 2-3 people which could give a nice effect to my project and make it a realistic and lively project.

Twenty third day-21/6/12

I went to the rest of the workers's houses and interviewed them. Now after analyzing the result I wanted to see the perception of people who work in a different field but of same class, so I thought taking interview of the maids who work in my house. Their answers might prove my analysis wrong. So today after taking so many interviews I have to decided to take a few more and then take out a final analysis of my work a whole year.

Eighteenth day-21/5/12

Today after coming back i started working for the next write up which was on "Application of Information". 
I faced some problems so I took help from the guide which we were given for help. 

Twenty second day-19/6/12

As I had thought of starting the project from my home itself so I commenced it by a very old man who's been working in my dad's factory since it was started, he's an experienced man and not just him but even his father had worked in our factory from a very young age. These people helping us in our daily lives, they are ready to do any work we say to them then why not start the survey my knowing their problems and if they have helped me and my family so much in life and I can at least do a little for them, it can be called a pay back.
I went to those worker's house who work in my dad's business and factory. I took 2 surveys and analysed them, they were quiet similar so i was eager to know that the next surveys which I'l be taking will give a same analysis or will come up with something else or something unexpected.

Twenty first day-14/6/12

During these days I had finally decided upon my questions. I forwarded them to my supervisor, he checked it and told me about my mistakes. For a second opinion I also mailed to my english teacher Mr.Rajneesh Tiwari who helped to in mixing up 2 questions as 1 because the questions were alike. He even helped me in the grammatical part and sentence formation.

Twentieth day-31/5/12

Even today the whole day went in making the questions.

Nineteenth day-30/5/12

I made some questions for my survey. There were many questions so it took a lot time to focus on the main questions. The whole day went for making questions, I again referred to the sites which I had seen before, I tried making such questions which could be easy to ask and is not against any person's personal life. I had to see many aspects while making the questions, even wrong things about government should not be mentioned in the survey as to keep it simple and formal I had to be very careful. The whole day passed in making questions and researching for appropriate and reliable information but I wasn't able to make all the questions. 

Seventeenth day-28/4/12

I received a mail from the supervisor related to further write ups which were to be included in the documentary. There were certain topics but i am instructed to go one by one so that i can understand and then write everything in my documentary. I am given a deadline of 1 week but its increased as i am going out for a holiday so i have to give it 1 week after i come back.

Sixteenth day-19/4/12

As half of the may was gone in exams i wasn't able to do anything for the project and then now i have my holidays so today i mailed doubts about what things should be focused in the project from few of the case studies in which i faced problem and even i tried finding out the answers to my questions.

Fifteenth day-29/3/12

I wasn't able to meet my supervisor today due to some reason so i went on researching and today i thought of finding more and more of case studies so that i can get a practical knowledge of what is going on in those people's life who are suffering daily from inflation. Wanted to know that how worst can be a condition of a person who's really poor.    

Fourteenth day-22/3/12

I got my second write up checked and corrected my mistakes there itself so that i complete a bit of my report.

Thirteenth day-15/3/12

 I discussed about the second write up which was "Selection of Sources" with my supervisor. He explained me what should be written in it and then i continued with my research.

Twelfth day- 8/3/12

In the  month of February i searched because i wanted to see that is increase in prices relatively correct for everyone.    

Eleventh day-5/2/12

I researched more about inflation.I went through a number of sites and saw the condition of India very bad in this face.

Tenth day-2/2/12

I found about inflation on various sites, i got an article on India real time where it was about the inflation in food prices:Déjà Vu All Over Again, the one line which i thought was very important for this project was said by our Home Minister P.Chidambaram to our finance minister Pranab Mukherjee that "Inflation is the biggest tax which people have to face". There was also a video by which we could actually see people fighting for food.
Even the other sites were just telling about the problems which India is facing because of the increase in food prices.
Today we were also told about an easy way to have a bibliography, instead of copying the URL of each site and saving them and then again remembering what each site said, we could just log in to a site called scoop.it where all our sites would be saved and they can be seen into our process journal which could help others who are reading our blogs daily and even for our supervisors to keep a watch if we are going in a right direction or not.

Ninth day-30/1/12

We dint meet our supervisors instead we met Mrs.Rajshree Basu our PP coordinator, she told us about how to write a process journal in a proper manner,what exactly to write and what is meant by a process journal.

Eighth day-26/1/12

Today, i had a discussion with my supervisor where i was sure that i am going to take a survey of the under poverty line people n will take videos of few of them (around 3-4 people).
As decided before that i would take a survey of 30-40 people, i had cut short it to 12-15 people and i also had cut short the questions from 20-25 to 10-15 because people might not be interested in answering so many questions, i also wanted to make my survey short and focused on the topic.

Seventh day-23/1/12

Today i met my supervisor to finally decided  upon the AOI on which i had to focus mainly. For that we took help of Rajneesh sir the english teacher.We discussed on certain topics like what exactly my topic is and what i want to do in it? What do i want to convey to everyone? Weather i want to create awareness, do a survey or want to do my project in any other form? He asked me questions which helped to finally decide my AOI and after all the discussion the AOI related to my topic is Community and Service.   

Sixth day-19/1/12

I was not able to meet my supervisor because of Hindi Debate but i continued to write my blog and i also,i researched about inflation and the changes in rates which have caused problem for the people who are under poverty line.

Fifth day-12/1/12

I thought about what other questions i can ask in my survey, like their views on inflation, how did it affect them and many more questions alike. That day i also met Mamta ma'am the MYP coordinator who suggested me that i should be very specific about my topic and she gave me the idea of writing 30-40 questions and i should take at least 20-25 people for my survey. That day i also started writing my blog though i wasn't much familiar about how to write a blog so i took Basu ma'am's help and started my blog.

Fourth day-5/1/12

On the fourth meeting i showed the work to my supervisor which i had done during the vacations. I showed him the articles collected from the newspapers, the information about how to start my project with i.e. the introduction of inflation. But we were still confused between the AOI's that which AOI is linking my topic. Then i wrote what is my goal,aim and what final outcome am i going to get? there were still certain questions which i had to think upon.

Third day-15/12/11

My supervisor showed me the personal project guide the first thing was about MYP personal project.

then sir showed the criteria on which i have to work on,

as vacations were coming so we decided to collect information and news articles and also to go through the links shared on edmodo my Basu ma'am to go on the next step of the project. 

Second day-8/12/11

I had selected my topic which is Inflation in food prices in India in 2011. I started researching about inflation and as i had seen articles in newspapers so i thought of collecting them and showing them in personal project.

First day -29/11/11

On the 1st meeting we decided upon the topic which was a bit confusing as we had 2 topics: 1 was related to inflation and the other was about basketball and both of them don't relate so we discussed upon which topic am i interested in doing? and what PP is actually about and how should we choose our topic according to the AOI's?
